This Major Arcana is one of the missing trumps replaced by me ,depicts the Devil Allegory with Pride and Conceit inspired by Ambrogio Lorenzetti. It is one of several hand-painted Italian decks that the Visconti family commissioned in the 15th Century.The surviving cards are of particular historical interest because of the beauty and detail of the design, which was often executed in precious materials and often reproduce members of the Sforza and Visconti families in period garments and settings.
