Green Tara from Tibetan Buddhism

Green Tara embodies the active compassion of all Buddhas and is said to protect against the eight kinds of fear. Likewise, she is said to increase primordial wisdom and is praised for her wish-fulfilling qualities. She is said to have special speed in fulfilling wishes and protecting against danger. Although Green Tara is also said to fulfill worldly wishes, her real purpose is to lead practitioners to enlightenment. Her mantra is "OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA"
