Guillaume Geefs, Le génie du mal (Lucifer)

Designs inspired by a beautiful white marble sculpture by Belgian artist Guillaume Geefs (1805 – 1883). The name of the sculpture is Le génie du mal (The genius of evil) and it is located within the elaborate pulpit of St. Paul's Cathedral, in Liège. It shows a classically beautiful man, chained and seated with a drapery gathered over his thighs, and his full length enclosed within a mandorla of bat wings. Other names of the sculpture is just Lucifer or The Lucifer of Liège, or The fallen angel. In this collection you'll find a photo sculpture, a couple of greeting cards, a poster and a canvas print.
