Renewed Beauty

These beautiful ladies were born over twenty years ago as charcoal drawings. The collection was almost immediately damaged. After broken-heartedly storing them away, and repeatedly moving them they incurred more damage. I recently undertook to give them all a renewing digital facelift and let them finally see the light of day. I used the damage as inspiration for re-designing the whole collection. I let the scars remain. Life can be painful, difficult and full of regrets, and yet beauty remains. There is real beauty in the strength of survivors. And we are all survivors of this thing called living. Beautiful, real, scarred survivors. In my humble opinion. In that spirit I share this collection.
