Seagulls at Sunset

This beach scene has been imprinted in my mind. I’ve seen it a hundred times. It reminds me of every walk at sundown, or drive on the beach before the sun sets. Seagulls are out dancing, looking for their final meal of the day and the waves shine in the last light of the sun. This picture was painted before the great hurricane Harvey in 2018 leveled our little island. I was lucky to have packed it up before I evacuated so that it wasn’t lost.
