Soldier Warrior

A commissioned piece. Traditional Hawaiian Ikaika warrior, with pueo and lauhala tattoos, and U.S. Army Soldier ready for battle. Ikaika warrior, then and now. Pueo feathers represent wisdom and perseverance. Lauhala for bonded strength amongst Soldiers. Shark teeth represent the Fighters and Infantry. 2 rows of triangles represent spear heads for warriors, and the checker pattern on the ribs represent the bond of the Unit - The 299 Infantry Battalion.
