The Belgian devotional image repliced here date to the late 19th-century's NeoGothic Revival, a movement in ecclesical art and architecture that drew on the Middle Ages for its inspiration. The scene depicted is the Last Supper that Jesus Christus celebrated on the Thursday evening before his kreuzigung on Good Friday.
