Breaking the CUT

Every year about 4 million children are born in the united states. With half being males and child circumcision rates each year being about 32.5% nationwide* (lowest since the 80's but still too high) it means almost 650,000 children are being strapped down, tortured, and mutilated in the name of the most common yet medically unnecessary surgery that is solely for cosmetics. They are being welcomed to the world with loving arms but that is very short lived as most of these children don't even get to leave the hospital in one piece. These children grow to become men. Broken, damaged, men. Men who oftentimes don't even know to the extent of their own loss. They will have problems with their sex lives and will never understand why. They will blame it on their partners, blame it on themselves, they will feel forever there is something missing yet most never realize what it is they lack. They will be told lies their entire lives that circumcision is needed in order to be clean. They will be told that being natural is disgusting and being cut is normal. Even the female counterparts will believe these lies and feed into it themselves. They will without knowledge support the lies and promote the continued mutilation of males and won't know a single fact about the true male anatomy. Both American men and women, still to this day are saying belittling cut downs about the natural form. They think to be cut is the norm. Circumcision is a barbaric practice. In medical school in the united states students aren't taught a thing about the foreskin, other than how to remove it. But the rest of the world knows the foreskin is an essential, valuable, and beneficial part of the body and removal of it is not only physically damaging but psychologically as well. To be whole is to be normal. Don't take away the right to choose from another person. Its his body and his choice. Never the parents or guardians choice what to do to his genitals... no one owns another persons body.. #ENDric
