Über mich/uns
Hi, my name is Emily Lawson. I'm a fabric design artist. And an Acrylic Abstract Painter.I am
low vision and legally blind and use a lot of Different mediums to create my styles of art. In My fabric design I utilized Primarily upcycled materials.
I was inspired by my grandmother Violet's needlepoint work.she attended the Royal Conservative of Needlepoint in London, England In the early 1900s. So inspired by my mother Bridget's abstract painting as she attended classes with some of the Painters 11 in Ontario. Having grown up with a large William Ronald bright yellow red painting in our living room, I've always loved and found joy in bright, happy colors. A great deal of my art reflects when I lived in the Northwest Territories for many years. Many of my pieces reflect the tiny trees that are traditionally called the drunken forest also.Inspired by the late.On the fishing, the people and the stories people told me.
