Dogleg Digs

Kyle and Megan founded the Dogleg Brewery in North Texas in early 2008, and have been creating quality suds with more and more sophistication ever since. Kyle's thorough research and development approach to brewmeistering is owed to his background as an engineer as well as his attention to detail. Megan, his wife, has a passion for healthy living, and her knowledge and practice of organic gardening ensure that nothing bad for you will ever end up in a Dogleg brew! Along the way, the Dogleggers have been joined by Rich, an expert bottle-capper AND de-capper and his girl Sheena, who serves as the Brewery's Director of Arts and Crafts and occasionally as Rich's designated driver. An extended group of family and friends also contributes to the frequent tasting and refinement of the recipes, and when we're not brewing, you can find the brain trust on Facebook with Joe M CaptionHappy. We typically meet at the Flying Saucer in downtown Fort Worth for a weekly pow-wow, followed or preceded by sushi at Ped's Mochi Kitchen in Haltom City. The ritual keeps everyone properly inspired and serves as a good excuse to get together and clink glasses on a regular basis. The name: The Dogleg Brewery name sorta comes from one of those synergies of life that can only coalesce once you've had a few too many. (Dude! I've got the perfect name for a band...) But, Kyle and Megan's adorable dog pack is the real inspiration behind most of the beer names and, of course, the brewery's sweet logo. Tugger, Brinkley and Boomer are the canine crew, but no doglegs were lifted in the production of any of the beers.
