I began abstract art through art therapy because of my mental illness. It's been a long battle and also a journey of self knowledge and a lot of learning. When I do art I try to print pieces of me in them, my joy, sadness, hope... And kriaoxy is a junction of two words in creole from Cape Verde, a archipelago in west coast of Africa, that means create today Which means creating a day that I will love. Create something today. And because in creole from Cape Verde kria (create) also means grow, I am saying also grow is some way today
