Last Of It's Kind

Last of it's kind honors four (Tricolored Black Bird, Great Gray Owl, Southwestern Flycatcher, Long Billed Curlew) endangered migratory birds who never stop searching for a place to call home. Each bird and color chosen for that bird not only represents the season in which they choose to migrate to California in, but also the seasons in which they are most active. As I young girl I migrated a lot with my family as well. Always searching for a place to nest, never feeling quite at home. Until today I'm still searching. I wanted to honor those birds in which I identify with, and bring awareness to their endangered state, because "where there is love, there is life."
