Hi, I am Claire and I have PKD and have undergone kidney transplant surgery, as such this is a cause that is very close to my heart and I want to help spread awareness and create a culture of support for polycystic kidney disease which affects over 600,000 Americans and millions more worldwide. With numbers like this it is likely you know someone (a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker) who has this condition which is known to be a life-threatening chronic, genetic disease. Research is imperative to find a cure for this debilitating disease known as PKD and raising awareness is part of that.
