Über mich/uns

STILLSEASON is the bonsai art studio of Japanese artist Kiri Hazaka. I live in Japan, where the year is marked by blossoms and leaves: plum in late winter, cherry in spring, maple in autumn. Bonsai holds the changing seasons in the form of a single small tree. I am drawn to traditional forms seen through contemporary eyes. STILLSEASON is where I explore bonsai as visual art, from carefully composed botanical still lifes to unexpected, imaginative worlds. Our first collection, Bonsai Art, presents twelve seasonal trees through natural light, balanced compositions and understated backgrounds. Coming next is Bonsai Art Mono, a black-and-white collection that transforms these trees into monumental worlds inhabited by small, mysterious figures. STILLSEASON creates contemporary bonsai art for modern living spaces, bringing a Japanese perspective to a wide range of artistic expressions. My work is created with the assistance of generative AI tools. Concept, art direction, selection, refinement and final composition are directed by me. Designed in Japan by STILLSEASON.
