Über mich/uns
In 1952, "I Like Ike" won the man 442 electoral votes. Then Dwight D. Eisenhower, former Supreme Commander of all Allied Forces in WWI, went out and earned it: built the interstate highways, executed three balanced budgets, helped rebuild Europe, sent the 101st Airborne to Little Rock to help a little black girl go to a good school, created NASA, and gave a farewell warning about the military-industrial complex that every American should read to this day.
I own an original 1952 button and I’ve always loved its beautiful simplicity. Ike wasn’t the kind of man who needed to be loved and adored. He earned respect, and he remained likeable and down-to-earth after making contributions that literally changed the world. It’s a public domain design, so I’m respectfuly putting it back into production—plus one small update as a comment on our current political situation.
